When is using Bevel and Emboss a good idea?
Never.
Firstly, it is part of a style that is no longer in style. If you want to show your clients and potential clients that you are a company current with the times, would you send them a telegraph?
Secondly, and most importantly, is its application. It is usually used on a company logo, and detracts from the image the company is ultimately trying to portray. Case in point: We are all familiar with the "Golden Arches" of McDonalds. In 2003, they dropped the bevel from their logo. Google, the world's search engine leader, dropped the bevel in 2013.
If you are looking for a way to make your logo stand out, use something else. Or, better yet, contact the experts at xclntDesign and let them help you!
