Blogging! Is it really necessary?

Blogging. Is this really necessary? Do I really need to have one and keep it going? Simple answer…ABSOLUTELY!

A frequent concept that seems to always come back in my blogs regarding a strong internet presence for your business is that CONTENT IS KING. Stuff! But why? Why must I sit down and write? It’s pretty simple, blogging is just another component of increasing your presence on the internet and increasing your bottom line.If you aren’t blogging, start. If you are not, your are missing out out on a big opportunity to increase the visibility of your company’s digital reach across the internet.

It’s not secret that the internet isn’t a fad, it’s intertwined in our daily lives. If you don’t have a strong internet presence, you will not stand out over your competitors and YOU WILL FALL BEHIND. So obviously when someone performs a search looking for a service or product you sell, you want to appear near the top of the rankings? Of course you do and that’s done through effective search engine optimization. One of the biggest “ranking factors” in positive search engine optimization is the quality of your content and the frequency in which content is added. So the more useful information that is published on a regular basis, the better…and what better way then through an informative blog?

So what should be in this blog? Information! You don’t normally want to just “sell” in a blog, but instead educate and inform. Takes this blog entry for example, I am educating you on the importance of a blog! So apply the same methodology to your blog, teach your audience about something and inform them of it. Explain why “it” is a good or bad thing and why they should or shouldn’t do it. Not only are you loading up your website with original, creative content for search engines, you are showing your audience you are more than just a business, you are an “authoritative source” for all things related to your industry. You are showing them you are the area’s leading expert in your field, which builds confidence in your client base that you are the right person for the job. These are the things big time companies do for their business, so steal a play from them and do it for yours!

Now what if, you either do not have the time or the ability to write a captivating blog, because let’s face it, it isn’t for everyone! Well you can always hire a professional blog writer (and xclntDesign employs some). Pro blog writers sole job is to take time to learn your business…the products, the services, the process…then develops captivating topics to write about and proceeds to write them. Think of it like a book report from school. Research the topics and write about it in plain English.

Once an awesome blog is written and posted to your website, you can promote it through Social Media channels, driving even more traffic to your website.

So it’s clear, there are many benefits to writing a blog and writing one often. So get started today!

GSI

GSI

GSI is a low-voltage company that specializes in security and data cabling.

Their existing logo spelled out the company name; they wanted to take focus off the security part of their name to promote their other services, so we just went with the initials in a new logo, showing off a connected globe.

Mid-Florida Agencies

Mid-Florida Agencies

Brand new website for a local health insurance agent's office. They have existing corporate branding, so we took that and expanded on it. Our concept was to create something that was both professional and inviting. We used fun graphics and the corporate colors throughout.

Gator Clean

Gator Clean

Launch of a redesigned responsive website for a carpet and tile cleaning company in Lake County, Florida.

Gator Clean had a story to tell, and chose use to tell it. The owner's daughter had become ill, and during a trip to the ER, he was asked "Did you recently have your carpets cleaned?" When he answered yes, he was told that the disease his daughter had developed could have been caused by the toxic chemicals used by some carpet cleaners. He vowed to not let that happen to anyone else, so he started Gator Clean, using non-toxic cleaning agents to keep people and pets safe.

Got Watts Electric

Got Watts Electric

This was a complete redesign. Got Watts has been a long time client, and they recently refocused their business on electrification, or utility grid independence. So they need a new, dynamic site to reflect this change, and to focus on the main services they offer.
